Feral pigeons foul buildings and architecture and this in turn causes an unsightly mess, harbours disease and causes actual damage from the acidic content of the droppings. Wet droppings can also cause slips and falls

Many types of pest from the pigeon nests migrate into buildings and homes causing additional problems. Studies have shown that many of the feral pigeons (street pigeons) carry ornithosis which in turn can be transmitted to humans. Pigeon nests and droppings can harbour many other pathogens and should only be removed by a professional with care and appropriate knowledge.

How to prevent and get rid of birds:

Pigeon and bird proofing and prevention is a very specialist skill requiring the correct equipment and knowledge of the bird species in question.

We will assess the area in question and propose a plan of action to rid the area of pigeons, their nests and droppings. This includes cleaning and removing the area of guano and nests then sanitising with special biocides to kill pathogens before finally proofing with one, or a combination of nets, spikes or special bird gels in order to prevent the re infestation.
